Social media stars The Sidemen are looking to expand their content creation activities in Australia. As reported by Mumbrella, the UK-based YouTube stars are working with digital publisher Common to support their growth in the market.

The Sidemen have built an audience of more than 21.5 million subscribers and have attracted a strong Australian fanbase in the process. Currently around 2 millions hours of their content are consumed by Australian audiences every month.

As part of the new partnership, Mumbrella said Common will promote The Sidemen across its channels, connecting them with brands and advertisers.

The Sidemen’s manager, Arcade Media’s Jordan Schwarzenberger, said: “The Sidemen have an amazing connection with their Aussie fans, and we would love to produce more content for them. Common is going to support us with this ambition.”

The Sidemen will feature on Common’s ‘House of Common’ hub. Per Mumbrella, co-founder and chief operating officer of Common, Rachel Henry, said: “Our goal is to work with the best creator shows and podcasts that social has to offer. Through this partnership we have taken a big step in the right direction.”
