Linguana, a creator-first global distribution and monetisation partner, has officially launched with an $8.5 million seed funding round. The company said its goal is to “revolutionise content monetisation for creators worldwide”.
Founded by Yuval Tal (CEO) and Oded Shafran (CTO), Linguana partners with creators to help them “expand audiences and grow revenue without additional effort”.
Explaining how, the company said it manages translation, dubbing, distribution, and monetisation by fusing AI models with its own proprietary AI tech, and expert human review. “Linguana is redefining the game – using its technology to make a Netflix-level quality of dubbing and adaptation that captures the spirit, energy and charisma of the creator, as well as the complexity of multiple voices and background noise.”
By managing the entire process end-to-end, Linguana said that it can “enables creators to unlock new income streams from international audiences without lifting a finger or spending a cent. Its AI-powered predictive engine intelligently selects which videos to localise, in which languages, and when to publish”.
CEO Yuval Tal (pictured) said: “Creators want their content to reach massive new audiences and fully maximise their revenue potential. Linguana makes that happen – effortlessly, globally, and profitably. Our localisation approach harnesses multiple AI models to ensure the highest-quality dubbing, capturing the emotion, energy, and style of the original content so that it feels natively created in each language. This means creators not only expand their reach but also maintain their creative identity across markets.”
Already active prior to the funding round, the company said it “has been growing exponentially, partnering with hundreds of creators globally, producing 10,000 localised videos each month in multiple languages and generating hundreds of thousands of USD of new revenue each month. Some creators have even seen their newly localised channels generate more views than their original channel.”
“Linguana has opened the door to entirely new audiences for my content – my videos are now available in Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Polish, and German, and the viewers feel like I’m speaking each language myself,” said YouTuber Charles Dowding. “I’m impressed by the quality of the dubbing and how well it preserves my tone and message. We’re now seeing more than 250,000 views per month on these localised channels, which has brought new reach and meaningful revenue growth.”
The $8.5m investment was made by angel investors, including Oren Zeev, Zohar Gilon, Eyal Waldman, and Oren Dobronsky, and early-stage venture firm, 2LVC. Oren Zeev, founder of Zeev Ventures, commented: “Linguana is addressing one of the biggest challenges in the creator economy – scaling audiences and revenue globally with minimal friction. Their team’s proven ability to execute, combined with their impressive early traction, makes this an incredibly exciting opportunity to support.”
