Media company Sky has announced that four new series of Sky Original digital shorts will be landing on its YouTube channels this April, showcasing some of “the UK’s freshest and exciting up-and-coming comedy talent”.

Sky said the four series will welcome new talent to the Sky family, including breakout comedy star Kae Kurd with his fitness-themed series Sets and Reps, internet personality Stevo the Madman with his vlog-style series The Mad House, stand-up comedian Andrew Mensah with his innovative interview series Media Trained, and comedian and actress Kyrah Gray with Gagging for It, an all-new take on the dating show genres.

In Sets and Reps, comedian Kae Kurd and guests will attempt to follow the most extreme fitness regimes of the world’s biggest celebrities. Guided by Kae’s personal trainer, Diren Kartal, each episode will focus on a different hardcore workout – from a Hollywood actor’s gruelling superhero movie training to a supermodel’s brutal martial arts routine.

Sets and Reps is produced by Lucky 17. The executive producers are Pollyanna McGirr and David Geli. Anthony Williams serves as the series producer and director. Eleanor Lawrence is series writer and producer.

In The Mad House, Stevo juggles family life, podcasting, and celebrity chaos all under one roof. Each episode dives into his unconventional parenting, blended family dynamics, and the unpredictable antics of his daughters.

The Mad House is produced by Wall of Entertainment. The executive producers are Percelle Ascott, Joivan Wade and Sheila Nortley. The show is created by Stevo, Joivan Wade and Shakii Mongulu, with Wade and Mongulu also serving as writers and directors.

In Media Trained, Andrew Mensah (Fantasy Football League), throws traditional interviews out the window, offering unfiltered moments with today’s biggest names in youth culture. Each episode features playful banter and unexpected confessions, diving into what fans truly want to know.

Media Trained is produced by Renowned Films. The executive producers are Kate Maddigan and Duane Jones. Jason Mbala serves as the series director and producer.

Finally, Gagging For It is a format in which comedian Kyrah Gray helps funny people find love. Each episode follows a different set of potentials trying to find a love match with a single who finds a sense of humour to be the most attractive quality in a partner. Single jokers will flex their comedy muscles over a series of challenges designed to showcase their comedy chops.

The Digital Shorts were commissioned by Phil Edgar-Jones, executive director, unscripted originals at Sky for Cécile Frot-Coutaz, CEO of Sky Studios & chief content officer for Sky. The commissioning editor is Dwayne Eaton.

Kae Kurd commented: “This project with Sky showcases some of the very best comic talent & content creators, alongside the biggest next generation producer/director talent. Huge shoutout to Dwayne Eaton and the team at Sky for allowing us to create something really special.”

Internet personality Stevo the Madman (pictured) added“It’s been brilliant to work with Wall of Entertainment, and I’m so thankful that the world will now have the opportunity to be part of the Stevo The Madman world!”
