Morris and Wigley recruited to accelerate SB Media Group expansion

SB Media Group has appointed Alex Morris and James Wigley to drive global expansion. This is for the business which owns Supercar Blondie, a leading automotive entertainment brand. They have a community of around 95 million followers worldwide.

Based in Dubai and Boston with a car design studio in Prague, SB Media Group generates over 2 billion views per month. Digital channels focus on cars, design and technology. Morris and Wigley will be based in newly established London office, reporting to SB Media Group CEO and co-founder, Nik Hirschi.

Morris, who becomes chief creative officer, said: “This company is at the forefront of the creator economy. I’m excited to be joining as we scale to the next level, building new brands, talent and businesses that leverage our huge, engaged audience.”

Wigley, who joins as chief revenue officer, added: “SB Media has built an incredibly engaged following by deeply understanding its community and through placing a focus on original, creator-led programming. I’m thrilled to be joining as we take SB Media into the next phase of growth. We will work more closely with brands looking to reach a social audience with a passion for cars, tech, entertainment and luxury lifestyle.”

Driving Global Expansion with Top Media Leaders

Morris is a well-known figure in the digital first sector. Previously, he held senior positions at LADbible Group and Future Studios. Wigley, meanwhile, was chief growth officer at Jungle Creations, before joining SB Media Group.

Initially established by Australian supercar content creator Alex Hirschi, known online as Supercar Blondie, SB Media Group has grown into a digital media network. They have a roster of talent, an automotive design studio and a portfolio of channels and shows across Supercarblondie.com, YouTube (13m subscribers), Instagram (12m followers), Facebook (51m followers), TikTok (16m), Snapchat (2m), Twitter, and BilBili.

Hirschi said: “We are tremendously excited to have such experienced media leaders joining us. Having started as a single influencer and expanded to become a fully fletched global media organisation.
