Australian production studio WTFN has named Sav Yeldham as head of digital channels at its digital division Radar. Yeldham brings over 10 years of experience in digital platform strategy and content production for Paramount, MTV and Nickelodeon.

Previously VP of digital and social creative for Paramount Global in New York, Yeldham will be heading up the Radar team in Melbourne, across its network of owned and operated and partner YouTube, Facebook and Snap channels.

During the past decade WTFN has emerged as one of Australia’s most creative and prolific independent content producers, with programmes including Bondi Vet, The Living Room and Tony Robinson’s Time Walks. Radar is the company’s digital division and has a network of over 30 owned-and-operated and partner content channels including Bondi Vet, The Dog Whisperer and Oceanliner Designs.

Radar works with a range of content creators, production companies and wider businesses to protect and monetise digital rights. It also manages and commercialises VOD channels and provides a range of digital production and talent services. It finished 2024 with a record-breaking December across its channels. According to the company it generated “17m hours viewed and 156m views across all channels”.

Radar’s general manager Louisa Emery said the growth has been powered by a focus on strong single IP channels. “Adding heritage brands like Dog Whisperer to our portfolio of channels has clearly had a strong impact on our growth story. 2024 was the year where YouTube came-of-age. It’s always been a key channel for us but the platform really knocked it out of the park in terms of performance this year. The continued evolution of Shorts is having an impact, as is the trend towards longer form and watching the channel on the primary screen in the household.”
