Quintus Studios, the distributor and channel owner, has announced a new digital-first documentary series, Danger Pay, which will explore the lives of individuals who work in high-risk professions. The series, a Quintus Original, examines the challenges and conditions faced by those in hazardous occupations.

The pilot episode, Danger Pay: Professional Rodeo (1 x 60’), is set to premiere on Quintus Studios’ AVOD channel, Free Documentary. It follows 23-year-old bull rider Bo Vocu, a Native American from the Northern Cheyenne and Sioux tribes of Montana and South Dakota. As he prepares for a rodeo event, the episode examines the risks and demands of the sport. Despite injuries that have affected his career, Vocu continues to compete, reflecting the culture and tradition of the rodeo community.

The series is produced by Chris Stokoe and Olivia Bell of Adventure Alliance Films, with Adam Jacobs serving as executive producer for Quintus Studios. The pilot is part of a planned series of four to six episodes, each documenting different high-risk professions.

Quintus Originals is a digital and linear TV production model that commissions broadcast-length documentary content for AVOD platforms while also distributing to global linear TV networks. Quintus Studios’ Free Documentary channel has over 5.3 million subscribers.

“Danger Pay shines a light on the extraordinary world of those who risk everything for their passion. With unprecedented access to the rodeo circuit and beyond, this Quintus Original is a powerful exploration of resilience, tradition, and the relentless pursuit of purpose,” said Adam Jacobs, Creative Director at Quintus Studios.
