DOGTV Networks, the company behind DOGTV has launched a new channel, Unleashed by DOGTV, which will stream free content for “dog lovers and pet parents”.
Unleashed by DOGTV will initially launch on Amazon’s Fire TV Channels in the US and Tugo TV in the US and Canada, as well as streaming on DOGTV’s YouTube channel. This is the start of a widespread rollout that will also see distribution via TCL International and Anoki AI’s LiveTVx (for GoogleTV devices).
Unlike DOGTV, which primarily focuses on content for dogs, Unleashed by DOGTV is a 24/7 streaming channel for dog lovers and owners – representing a major gear shift for the business. There are 250 hours of programming for the launch period, with new titles to be added every week.
DOGTV said the schedule will be packed with “expert-led, fun educational shows, as well as exclusive lifestyle and adoption programmes, heartwarming stories, dogumentaries, and movies”. Highlighted new productions created for Unleashed by DOGTV include Dogstar, a series of home videos submitted by viewers; and The Adoption Show, which will profile dogs that are up for adoption.
DOGTV Networks CEO Beke Lubeach said: “After more than 10 years of DOGTV and getting to know this market and its loyal audience better than anyone, we felt the time was right to expand our business with Unleashed by DOGTV. We are incredibly excited to begin this new streaming channel and we hope it will quickly have a pawprint across numerous platforms and be readily available to dog lovers everywhere.”
