Bridging The Gap: MTV becomes the latest industry heavyweight to join Digital Content Forum’s inaugural Buyer’s Lounge

by | Oct 10, 2024 | News

With less than a month to go until this year’s edition of the TellyCast Digital Content Forum (November 7th, BFI Southbank), nine leading media players have signed up to The Bridge – a dedicated Buyers Lounge, sponsored by Quintus Media.

This week saw MTV become the latest illustrious addition to The Bridge, the ground-breaking initiative that will provide a platform for distributors, networks and investors to meet with delegates from leading digital first studios, creators and each other. Other confirmed participants include ITV Studios, BBC Studios, Night Train Digital, Sphere Abacus, Quintus Studios, Blue Ant Media, A+E Networks UK and Little Dot Studios. Buyer’s requirements will be shared with registered delegates who will be invited to book pitch meetings with buyers directly at the event.

TellyCast founder Justin Crosby said: “Through events like the Digital Content Forum and The Bridge, I’m committed to helping stimulate growth for digital-first studios and content creators. Networking opportunities like this are becoming increasingly vital as the worlds of digital content and traditional TV continue to merge and evolve.”

Crosby said the idea for The Bridge grew out of digital-first deal-making at previous editions of the TellyCast Digital Content Forum. “Three digital-first shows have been commissioned or invested in following their appearance in our content pitch showcase ‘The Drop’. And over the last year we have seen an acceleration in the number of content-based partnership involving ‘traditional’ and digital first media companies. This convinces me that there is a host of opportunities for networks, distributors, and content creators to collaborate on new IP and catalogue opportunities.”

The full line up of TellyCast Digital Content Forum speakers, panels and sponsors has now been confirmed. Tickets are selling fast and there promises to be a diverse range of delegates, including content creators, digital-first studios, platforms, channels, producers, talent agencies, media agencies and brands.
