BBC Studios VP of digital content and programming Athena Witter has announced that she is move on to new pastures. After almost four years with BBCS, she revealed that she is “closing my BBC Studios chapter. After an incredible and successful journey as VP of digital programming, I’m taking on a new challenge.”
Recapping her time at BBCS, Witter said: “I’ve delivered tangible results across franchises like Doctor Who, BBC Earth, Top Gear and Bluey—expanding audiences, crafting effective platform strategies, and building talented global mindset teams with clear commercial focus. I’ve focused on empowering creators, building communities, and finding where entertainment, tech and commercial success intersect.Witter said it had been “a privilege to work with extraordinary brands and talented teams across the BBC”.
