Creative production company After Party Studios has appointed Sam Ewen to the newly-created role of head of entertainment and brought in Ayesha Mittal as executive producer. Ewen will be responsible for spearheading the business’s continued growth in entertainment whilst Mittal will lead both original and branded entertainment projects, connecting with audiences on every platform.
Ewen joins After Party after six years at Wall of Entertainment, where as head of entertainment he amassed over 1bn views through developing and overseeing hit series including Channel 4.0’s Tapped Out, Minor Issue and Harry Pinero’s Worst In Class and Pretty Little Thing’s The Pink Courtroom and Love Lessons. He works with digital talent including Nella Rose, Chloe Burrows, Chunkz and Niko Omilana.
Mittal joins from Raw (Tinder Swindler, Sweet Bobby) where she was a development producer. She was formerly at Buzzfeed for seven years where she led branded content campaigns, working with brands including Sky, Absolut, Maltesers and Netflix.
Both will report into managing director Joshua Barnett who said: “As After Party Studios continues to supercharge our creativity and output in entertainment and branded entertainment, I can’t think of two better people to steer and expand our slate. Sam has changed the industry with his hyper-engaging entertainment digital formats whilst Ayesha’s wealth of experience in legacy and digital media mirror the company’s DNA of connecting those two worlds to create content wherever online audiences are.”
Ewen said “joining the team felt like a no brainer. With an already amazing group of digital natives in the building, I can’t wait to get started and create some truly ground-breaking content. 2025 is going to be a big year… watch this space!”
Mittal added: “After Party Studios’ vision of blending the worlds of digital platforms and TV/film is perfectly aligned with the way audiences are evolving and brands are engaging. I’m thrilled to join the team, and I look forward to shaping a slate of boundary-pushing projects that connect with audiences across all platforms.”
The appointments follow a bumper year for After Party Studios with the recently launched Channel 4.0 comedy panel series Hear Me Out with Specs Gonzalez, over 72 million+ views and a recommission for their Sky Sports YouTube docuseries SCENES and two seasons of their hugely successful branded entertainment series League of ‘72 for Sky Bet and the EFL as well as Munya Chawawa’s ad for Revolut.
