OUTtv, the leading LGBTQ+ streaming service, has launched on YouTube TV and YouTube Primetime Channels in the US. As of this week, subscribers can access OUTtv’s content celebrating queer voices, for $5.99 per month, on all devices supported by YouTube.
Brad Danks, CEO of OUTtv, said: “As streaming continues to redefine how audiences connect with content, OUTtv’s presence on YouTube means more people can discover the passion, humour, and heart behind our queer-led storytelling in one convenient place. The US is a key market for us with a growing audience of OUTtv fans, and YouTube’s powerful reach allows us to connect with millions of viewers who are seeking diverse, high-quality LGBTQ+ content.”
While most viewing on YouTube is free and ad-supported, YouTube TV is a subscription service that provides live and on-demand TV from over 100 channels. With 8 million subscribers, YouTube TV offers features such as unlimited cloud DVR storage, multiview, the ability to view sports plays, hide spoilers and check out real-time stats. YouTube Primetime Channels, meanwhile, lets viewers subscribe and watch content on the YouTube app. With around 45 channels, users can browse, sign up for and watch various genres of content.
OUTtv has around 2000 hours of content. Top titles include Glow Up, Sew Fierce, Drag House Rules (pictured) and For The Love of DILFS, all of which will be available to audiences on YouTube TV and the YouTube Prime Channel. The service has also recently expanded into Asia, partnering with Chunghwa Telecom to launch OUTtv in Taiwan. This follows launches in New Zealand through a partnership with Prime Video as well as a newly rebranded European SVOD service, OUTflix, expanding to the Nordics with Allente in 2024.
