Digital-first motorsport channel The Race has announced that its YouTube channel is now available in Italian. The Italian version joins existing channels in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
The Race has partnered with Italian motorsport expert Roberto Boccafogli, bilingual journalist and comms expert Anthony Peacock and editor Dino Del Mancino to bring to life The Race’s content in Italian. There are also plans to create original bespoke content for the local market.
Since launching in February 2020, The Race has enjoyed robust growth on YouTube, accumulating 1.1million subscribers and over 15m monthly views. Commenting on its latest expansion, Andrew van de Burgt, The Race CEO and founder, said: “Italy is one of the traditional homes of motorsport. Monza; Ferrari; Pirelli are names everyone who loves racing are instantly familiar with. The arrival of Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari and the exciting addition of Kimi Antonelli at Mercedes meant that expanding our coverage into Italian was a logical decision.”
Roberto Boccafogli added: “The Race grants worldwide viewers an incredibly rich offering in terms of news, comments, and in-depth analysis from behind the scenes. After nearly 40 years of media experience in all sorts of motorsport, I’m thrilled to take part in this new adventure.”
The Race said that the international versions of The Race’s YouTube output “have been a tremendous success. With Diego Meija at the helm, the Spanish language version has over 150k subscribers and more than 2m views a month, while in Portuguese Cassio Politi and Lito Cavalcanti have amassed over 40k followers and 1m views a month and with the arrival of Gabriel Bortoleto on the 2025 grid, this is sure to grow rapidly.”
Outlining its editorial mission, The Race says its aim “is to create the best motorsport coverage that appeals to die-hard fans as well as those who are new to the sport. Across the web, YouTube, X and Instagram, our team brings you the most exciting motorsport action from around the world.”
