Global production powerhouse Banijay is looking to ramp up its digital capabilities in the UK, with new staff hires on the horizon. Putting out the call via LinkedIn, Banijay UK head of digital Liv Moss (pictured) said the company is looking for a digital channels lead, a digital producer, digital editor and digital rights and operations manager.

In the job spec for digital channels lead, Banijay said: “Banijay UK Social Studio is a newly formed central team with a remit to promote Banijay UK’s extensive library of content on social media platforms, working across both marketing and monetisation priorities for the business to create best-in-class digital content. You will work across a range of Banijay UK’s biggest titles, including Would I Lie To You, Big Brother, Deal or No Deal, Richard Osman’s House of Games, Interior Design Masters and more.”

The post added that “the digital channels lead is the brand guardian for all of Banijay UK’s digital output, ensuring best practice and accessibility standards are met across out output, and empowering the team to creative innovative and creative content, positioning Banijay UK Social Studio as an industry leader.”

Meanwhile, the new digital producer will be producing “best-in-class digital content for a variety of Banijay UK titles across multiple social platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. You’ll be responsible for overseeing content calendar management, writing engaging copy for all posts, communicating with stakeholders, and scheduling approved content across various platforms.”

Banijay has made no secret of its desire to push into digital first. Last year, it appointed Damien Viel as chief digital and marketing officer. In this role, Viel is in charge of the group’s marketing and digital diversification strategies, supercharging innovation worldwide. Viel, a digital content creator and digital-first strategist, set out his vision in a keynote speech at the TellyCast Digital Content Forum in 2023.

When appointed, Viel said: “Digital innovation has rapidly changed how audiences consume content, and how leading story-makers share it. While tech advancements are often met with scepticism, as a digital-first strategist, I’m a firm believer that innovation, creative technologies, AI and a customer-focused approach, only bring further opportunity. That is what I am keen to explore at Banijay.”
