Social media platform TikTok is looking for a global agency partnerships director, who will be responsible for “hitting revenue goals, building relationships with advertising agencies and helping agencies drive business results”.
The post was advertised today and will see the new recruit join TikTok’s Global Agency & Accounts Team (GA&A). According to TikTok, the GA&A is “a strategic and consultative partner to the largest advertisers and agencies in the world, helping them develop TikTok solutions that build businesses and brands across our products. The team works with some of the largest ad agencies globally. They are responsible for enabling advertising on the platform and connecting users with brands.”
Regarding the role, TikTok said it requires “strong consultative sales skills, strong partnership with internal and external agency teams, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and changing media environment.”
Key responsibilities will include building relationships with senior agency stakeholders. Among other things, candidates will need to “co-lead agency growth strategy and action plans with agency leads” and “build ideas and strategies from data and learning, to deliver and sell compelling solutions, driving incremental opportunities.”
They will also need 5+ years of media agency, media sales, brand advertising, and/or digital advertising experience.

TikTok ad revenue has been growing rapidly in recent years. It is expected to top $17 billion in 2024 and is forecast to reach $22 billion in 2025.
