BBC Studios and leading esports/gaming group ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) have dropped a new esports-documentary called Game and Glory. Launching on EFG’s Twitch and YouTube channels, the series unveils the personal side of pro-players Oleksandr ‘s1mple’ Kostyliev, Kaike ‘KSCERATO’ Cerato and Casper ‘cadiaN’ Møller.
The series tracks the three gamers while competing at the Intel Extreme Masters Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) Major Championship in Rio de Janeiro last autumn. The guide for the series is CS:GO-caster Alex ‘Machine’ Richardson.
For the documentary, BBC Studios captured the atmosphere of the IEM Rio Major as well as the tremendous support and passion of the on-site fans. Held between October 31, 2022 and November 13, 2022, the event became the most-watched ESL competition and the third most-watched CS:GO competition of all time.
